Almost simultaneously with the recent release of a new “nuclear” platform, codenamed Cedar Trail , designed for the next generation of netbooks and nettops, Intel has published a very interesting document, which among other things provides information about the three have not yet submitted to CPU, which should become part of the said platform . These new items appear under the names D2550 , N2650 and N2850, and the first of them, apparently, is designed for desktop systems, and the remaining two are focused on work in mobile computers.
According to the presentations, processors, Intel Atom D2550, N2650 and N2850 include in its membership by two processing cores with support for Hyper-Threading Technology, and 1 MB cache second level, and their clock frequency equal to 1.86 GHz, 1.7 GHz and 2 GHz, respectively.
Moreover, the integrated graphics in the D2550 and N2850 operates at a frequency of 640 MHz, and the IGP in the model N2650 running at 400 MHz. In relation to TDP, have Intel Atom D2550 it is 10 watts, and a “netbook” N2650 and N2850 chips his level, of course, is much lower and is equal to 3.6 and 6.6 watts, respectively. On the timing of new products is not reported.
